I wanted to say as follows:

In the nineties, his movies were particular in terms of both line and story. But his movies have changed being ordinary as other's movies.

Also, he had sharp eyes and his face looked like a fighter. But now, his appearance has become mild as his movie did.

Maybe as his mental has normalized, his movie and appearance also changed together. :)
In Korean proverb, people's face is changing according to attitude and mental as getting older.
The pesonality of Tarantino may has become mild. ha ha
