The British government has made a decision the abolishing of ‘no touch’ policy, a complete ban of corporal punishment against students. The policy is that the government launched 13 years ago. The British’s decision strikes Korean teachers as thoughtful.(has a considerable impact on the Korean education.) Because it could be a lesson for Korean education system. Under the system, teachers are for the policy, the complete ban of physical punishment. In Korea, it would reduce the chaos at school by the decision.
The Ministry of Education in United Kingdom announced that it would allow teachers to use physical punishment to students from September on the basis of a new Codes of Conduct for Teachers to follow. Some experts say the announcement is inevitable to curb trouble-making students and to prevent students from infringing to teachers' rights.
