Similar to the case of Dokdo, territorial dispute between Korea and Japan, there is a dispute between China and Japan. Senkaku Islands are actually controlled by Japan, but nowdays China is claiming its ownership. Before 20th century it was owned by China. By the way Japan won the wars between Japan & China, and Japan started to govern the Islands. After World War II, Japan didn't get back the ownership to China.
In the past, these problems were solved through wars, but nowdays are the period of peace and it is difficult to solve the dispute. We can find hints from the Creme Peninsula case. Finally, strong country can possess the disputed lands. Therefore, we should grow the power of our nation.
