Let's assume there was a wrongfully condemned criminal. Since the man saved his kingdom, the king said to him, "You are exempted to be executed." The king didn't mean he was not guilty. The king just meant that he would not kill the man. Is the sentence, "You are exempted to be executed." a right expression?
